RULES

At Upper Noe Dog Play Area (Joby's Run) the emphasis is on play. This small park does not accommodate separate training areas. Commercial or private activities that monopolize playspace or that restrict normal play activity are not appropriate here.

RULE #1 - KEEP DOGS OFF OF THE FIELD
Upper Noe Field is posted No Dogs for a very good reason. The field is heavily used by small children who spend much of their time laying and rolling on the grass. The field is also used by families and caregivers for picnicking and laying out in the sun. This is a small park that accommodates many different activities. Please help enforce this rule and maintiain this park for all users.

SAN FRANCISCO DOG PLAY AREA RULES, INFRACTIONS and FINES

Always pick up dog waste

Always carry a leash

Leash aggressive dogs

Don't leave dogs unattended

Control excessive noise

Prevent digging and destructive behavior

Listed below is a revised list of dog-related violations. Note one new ordinance has been added, “Bite and Run” (39a H.C.) and the enhancement of the existing ordinance dealing with proper care and feeding of a “Backyard Dog” (41.12c H.C.).

It is a misdemeanor for a dog owner to leave the scene of a dog-bite incident without the biting dog’s owner first identifying his or her self to the victim of the dog bite.

When encountering menacing or threatening behavior from any dog, Officers may immediately impound said dog if they believe the dog presents a serious threat to public safety. The dog would then be transported to Animal Care and Control where it would be held pending a vicious and dangerous hearing.
